Insight Center for Community Economic Development Releases Report on Proposition 209 in California
January 27, 2009
The Insight Center for Community Economic Development recently released a report on the effects of Proposition 209 in California on contracting and business development for people of color and women. The report examines California’s 58 counties and largest cities in an attempt to identify strong and replicable contracting programs that have been able to maintain or increase public contracting opportunities for minority- and women-owned businesses, while remaining within the confines of the law.
