The Education Policy and Leadership Center is an independent, non-partisan and not-for-profit organization based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The Center focuses on education policy, education leadership, and education advocacy. The information and activities of the Center are available to policymakers, educators, community leaders and all citizens with an interest in education policy and leadership.

Dream Fund Project

The Education Policy and Leadership Center (EPLC) has partnered with the Education Law Center (ELC) and Good Schools Pennsylvania (GSPA) to engage in a campaign of Preschool-12 education finance reform in Pennsylvania. The EPLC receives Dream Fund support to implement the Pennsylvania Campaign for Education Equity/Fair Funding for Successful Schools Initiative, a joint advocacy project of the EPLC, ELC and GSPA. This initiative seeks to engage students, parents, community leaders and other stakeholders in school finance reform. The initiative combines research, communication, advocacy and coalition-building strategies to develop a stronger public and policymaking climate that supports a fair and effective system of education finance in Pennsylvania.

Specifically, EPLC is generating a comprehensive and compelling record of evidence demonstrating that ""money matters"" to build effective educational capacity and to promote student academic success, with a specific focus on capitol-based activities. Together, all three groups will seek the implementation of the Campaign/Initiative in a collaborative manner; convene parents, students, legislators and community leaders to think through reform; develop messaging and present strategies about school funding and other educational issues and policy developments to the relevant communities.
